Meet Trish
We are excited to introduce Trish, our newest dental therapy dog in training at Lakefront Family Dentistry! Trish is a 1½-year-old crème-colored Labrador Retriever, and while she was originally trained with Guide Dogs of the Desert, her journey led her to a special role with us—bringing comfort, joy, and a wagging tail to our amazing patients.
Why Trish is the Perfect Fit for Our Dental Office
Since she was 7 weeks old, Trish has been in professional training, making her incredibly well-mannered, calm, and loving. Although she wasn’t able to become a full-fledged guide dog due to genetic testing for cataracts, she’s perfect for our dental office, where she’ll be indoors and safe from bright lights.

Trish loves people of all ages, but she gets extra excited when kids walk into the room! Her gentle nature and soothing presence help ease dental anxiety, making every visit feel more relaxed and enjoyable. Whether she’s sitting quietly next to a patient or greeting visitors with a friendly tail wag, she’s here to make sure everyone feels at home.

Trish is continuing the tradition of helping patients experience a more calming dental visit. She’s been training in our office for two weeks and will continue her training for the next six months, ensuring she’s fully prepared to provide the best patient experience possible.
