CEREC technology is one of the most influential dentistry breakthroughs in the last 50 years. Treatments that once took several visits and weeks to perform can now be completed in only one visit.

During the appointment, Dr. Hauser will examine your teeth and create a treatment plan. Your tooth will be prepared so the outcome will last longer. In fact, your results can last for more than 10 or even 20 years, depending on how well you take care of your oral health.

After the tooth is prepared, a 3D camera will capture an image of your smile and upload it to a state-of-the-art CEREC computer. Dr. Hauser will then design your treatment on a digital interface, which sends the information to a milling machine.

Using diamond burrs, the machine precisely shapes your veneer. This process only takes a few minutes, which is a welcome change from the lengthy process involved in traditional procedures.

During a traditional veneer procedure, the shell is developed by an off-site lab. Not only did this force the patient to anxiously wait for results, but it also was more time-consuming and costly for the dentist, which translated into higher fees for patients.
